Constitution Week 2019
On September 17, 1787, the Founding Fathers signed the most influential document in American history, the United States Constitution. This document established the framework of our government and the rights and freedoms that “We the People” enjoy today.
Today, September 9, 2019 Mayor Harrelson signed a Proclamation proclaiming September 15-21, 2019 as Constitution Week. This proclamation was presented to Alice Marlowe of the Peter Horry Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
The purpose of this week is to promote study and education of the United States Constitution.

FURTHER, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special non-partisan election will be held in the Cit...y of Loris, South Carolina on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 for the purpose of electing a member of city council to fill an unexpired term ending December 31, 2021.
